My parents brought brand new Toshiba laptop for me almost 2 years ago and I still enjoy it’s benefits !I think it cost us $1,000 USD including all taxes,software,etc. Long Live Toshiba !

This is like buying a luxury car equipped with a 4-cylinder engine with 6-speed manual transmission. You would think they could throw digital-broadcast HDTV modules to all media products.
Nice unit. Not a fan of Winrot Windows; should not have to wait for Internet Explorer to respond. But if it can duel boot linux*nix then this is the perfect mobile desktop that can easily be raided.

I remember I was so close to buying this laptop, but I ended up buying the Qosmio F55-Q502 instead since it was cheaper and had a better graphics card. The F55 doesent have the unique cell processor though.
I don’t know which laptop is better but I do know that Sony laptop battries are Better in quality and last longer. I bought this Laptop battery from batteryfordiscount and its been working at its best. To me a laptop’s performance depends on its battery.

@ScottRayne exactly. i had a toshiba with vista a few years ago. i had it for almost two years. somehow the processor fried. i only blame static for that because it was on a dry cold week it died. last thing it was on was a super fluffy blanket before i went to turn it on one day. all i got was a little light that came one and nothing else. did that stop me from buying another one a few years later? no! all i get are just simple basic machines. nothing special. toshiba is a good computer.

Don’t buy the latest. When people buy the latest they are risking.Because the company make changes to the product they launched before,and not always the product be better.Don’t buy the 775,buy the X505 with core i5 or see reviews of which i7 that dont heat up.But i7 are far more expensive. I bought Toshiba Qosmio X505 Q892 for myself,8GB ram,1500GB hardisk(500GB+1000GB) and GTX460m.
I didnt see any bad rreview about the processor Core i5 460m Which i bought.I got it for 890Dollars

Then you will find a Toshiba Qosmio x505 2nd hand 6 months used for that money.U have to check ebay everyday.And wait for the right one.In a week i Found 3 800dollars.So you will find for sure.

Yes its good for gaming.But don’t overclock it.It will definatley heat up. The best now is the Core i5 since it heats less than i7 and i5 has better graphic card called: Nvidia GTX 460m 1.5GB video memory while Core i7 has Nvidia GTS360M 1GB video memory. core i7 has with GTX460m but would be Over 2000 the price.So not worth it.
For gaming,Dont use it too long.For example,Use it 2 hours straight and give it 10 mins break.Cause its not huge like pc so it would be enough cool.

They stopped it cause they made new ones with better specs. Core i5 with gtx460m 1.5Gb video memory,Or core i7 with gts360m 1gb video memory.adn money other things.

Toshiba is a piece of crap. I was sold this Toshiba Satellite L350 by Staples Business Depot.Within a few days of purchase there was a large piece of glue between the display screen and the clear plastic cover.This machine is not a year old:there are now 6 pieces of glue between the display and the clear plastic cover.I called Toshiba customer service and was cut off 4 times.These companies are criminals selling crap for profit margin.The best we can do is not buy from Toshiba or its associates.
